Xinjiang is a beautiful and distant place, an ancient and mysterious region in people's minds. For thousands of years, cultures from all over the world have converged here along the Silk Road. Far from the sea, inland, stretching high mountains surrounded by a magical landscape and rich species communities, 47 ethnic groups, 23 million people in this civilisation has never been interrupted, cohesion and mutual protection, thrive and prosper, with the courage and wisdom to build the ideal of a better home.

Many people think of Xinjiang as a mysterious and backward place. In reality, it is where the modern clashes with the traditional, and excitement coexists with tranquility. In this episode, we bring you a real picture of life in Xinjiang, through the people who live there. A 23-year-old agent at a real estate company attempts to cycle down the Flaming Mountain, which few people dare even to climb.
